A quick note to all the people who shop online, there is a way to gain valuable points for the Pre-school which can then be exchanged for educational equipment. This has been running for a while now but people are not really aware so please use this link and select Sonning Common Pre-school and then we can gather lots of points to buy resources for the children

************NEW BUILD INFORMATION AND SEPTEMBER TERM SESSIONS************

Please be assured the committee and staff are doing everything they can to secure a premises that will be Ofsted approved ready for the September intake for new and existing places. We are working hard and are confident we can get somewhere sorted in time for the new school year. Discussions are at an advanced stage with the Primary school and Ofsted to finalise a location. If plans do have to change we will inform people with as much notice as possible.

2010 is certainly proving to be a year of changes for the Pre-school with Jo leaving us in July to further her studying after 2 years of hardwork, which we are all grateful for and we will miss her dedication to the job that has reaped great rewards for the Pre-school.

We also have a new building to replace the existing one, which is aiming to be ready for the New Year in 2011 which is really exciting and will provide, for one thing, a new bright and fresh learning environment for all the children. Along with the funding the OCC has provided for the main build we are desperately looking for ways to raise money and donations to kit out the new building, to replenish the toys/equipment and also to landscape the gardens. Anyone with leads to Companies who may donate to our cause please get in touch with members of the Committe or the staff to pass on the details.

We will be updating more on the new build as information arises and we aim to put up a target ”New Building Fundometer” to track how we are doing, so please please give generously for this cause. The timetable of the build can be tracked on the New Build link at the top.

On a final note you may have noticed that the site is fairly familiar with the Primary School site and I can confirm that Mr Lovegrove from Year 2 has been incredibly helpful in getting this all in place, thank you Matt.
